MAN AND MACHINE: A NAKED ROBOTIC LOVE STORY
Short Documentary/Technology
21 minutes/Belgium/Belgian (English subtitles)
Directors: Jesse Roesler and Jonathan Nowak
deliciousfilmworks.com

ABOUT THE FILM
Have you ever heard the strains of a naked robotic orchestra? Experience the love story and “new music” generated by an unconventional pair of musicians and performance artists in Ghent, Belgium. Godfried and Moniek built an entire orchestra of robotic instruments designed to be conducted in the nude using Doppler sonar radar. Will their most daring creation find acceptance in the music community? Or will they be forced to remain on the fringe of modern music culture? This documentary follows the trajectory of their rebellion, their collaboration and the challenges of maintaining a creative identity within a romantic relationship. Source: filmmaker

ABOUT THE DIRECTORS
A filmmaking force in Minneapolis passionately presenting the stories of the inspired, the illuminated, the mad-for-it-all few who followed their bliss and ended up changing more than their own lives in the process. These are the stories of the modern dreamers, the authentic wild cards: some they know and some they have created. In any case, they hope you leave refreshed, renewed and ready to boldly go where you’ve always wanted. Source: filmmaker

SATAN SINCE 2003
19:30 minutes/US/English / Short Documentary/Fandom & Culture
Director: Carlos Puga

FLORIDA PREMIERE
ABOUT THE FILM:     Born in the late 1970's as a response to high gas prices, the moped was a short-lived fad whose only present-day trace is found among tight packs of young hipsters vying to keep the retro culture alive across America. For Emmy Award-winning documentarian Carlos Puga (True Life, MTV), three months’ access to The Hell's Satans (Richmond, Virginia's premier moped gang) produced enough material for not only an eye-popping peek into this otherwise reclusive society, but also a satirical jab at the process of documentary film-making.  Premiered at Sundance 2011, also screened at South by Southwest Festival (SXSW) 2011.   Source: filmmaker.
ABOUT THE DIRECTOR:     Carlos Puga was born in Santiago, Chile and raised in Miami, Florida. He received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Stern School of Business at New York University while also studying Acting and Directing at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute of New York. His career in television began in 2003 when he worked as a field producer for MTV’s acclaimed documentary series True Life. He has continued to work on the series ever since, directing and producing full episodes through his New York-based production company, Standard Arts. In 2009 he was awarded a Daytime Emmy Award for his work on True Life.  Source: filmmaker
