A life-long otaku and import gamer, most kids grew up with Disney, Nickelodeon and Saturday morning cartoons.. instead, DJ QUIETLY (Dustin Cutler) was reading subtitles over bowls of cereal, watching the films of Studio Ghibli, early anime offerings like Bubblegum Crisis, Neon Genesis Evangelion and Pocket Monsters, and playing Japanese video games in a language he'd yet to understand.
At age 13, he was introduced to music production and eventually amateur DJing, mixing J-core, hardstyle, drum n' bass, breakbeat, dubstep and trance and even going on to produce his own remixes and original tunes with a distinct Japanese sound.. a hobby that hasn't faded since the day he was first introduced.
Ten years later, DJ QUIETLY emerges on the scene in the rave and dance circuit to eliminate the bore of countless lazy DJs he's watched before him spin the same radio-friendly 90's jams again and again with the aim to deliver the most intense, engaging Japanese-themed sets the timeslot will allow to the very last second with meticulously constructed playlists of the absolute best the genres have to offer. Stay tuned!
